This is how it was for my first child. My doctor skyped my husband for me, I didnt know he was on skype until i heard my husband telling me “push baby, push!” i thought i was going crazy because i knew my husband was deployed then i heard him say “keep pushing sweetheart, i want to see my daughter!” so i looked at my doctor to ask him if he gave me any drugs that i didn’t know of, because i knew for sure i was going crazy, but all he did was point to the computer screen next to my bed and that’s when i saw my husband! I was so happy i cried the whole time while giving birth. I thought for sure i was going to have to go through it alone, but i should’ve known better. My husband even thousands of miles away is still there for me. Do i wish he was there in person? Yes, but im still thankful and blesssed he was able to be there for me even if it was over skype, its a lot more than most military wives could ask for!
